§ 19-448. Off-street loading requirements

  • (a) Permanent paved off-street loading and unloading space(s) for commercial uses shall be provided as indicated herein and shall be clear and free of obstruction at all times.

    (b) Within the C, general commercial district, off-street loading requirements shall not apply for establishments under 15,000 square feet in gross floor area.

    (c) Within the C, general commercial district, loading spaces for establishments over 15,000 square feet in gross floor area shall be clear and free of obstacles at all times; however, the loading area shall be indicated on the site plan.

    (d) Each loading space shall be at least 45 feet long and ten feet wide; and

    (e) Off-street loading requirements for nonresidential uses shall be provided per table 19-808 unless excepted in subsection (b) of this section:

    (1)  Retail, Restaurant, Wholesale, Warehouse, Manufacturing or Industrial Establishment(s)

    (f) Adequate on-site turnaround area shall be provided for all loading and unloading areas.
